healing hearts

The vicious human rights crimes by the Hussein regime still haunt Iraq. Thanks to the atrocities committed by Saddam, the number of babies born with a birth defect is skyrocketing at rates nothing less than alarming. Depleted uranium weapons used by British and American troops in the liberation of Iraq contributed to the problem. In some parts of Iraq, nearly one in 10 newborns have a congenital heart defect. Our weapons are still killing. It’s time we use all the weapons of kindness we have to stop it. Congenital heart defects are the most common of all these birth defects, and sometimes require surgery to save the child’s life. Unfortunately, only an estimated 400 kids are operated on each year, while 30,000 children in Iraq need surgery. Children are dying.

This is a peace making and heart-healing mission. This war is measured by lives saved.

Preemptive Love Coalition operates on Iraqi children and trains surgeons. The goal of the group is set up a system for pediatric cardiology care in Iraq, but for now, Iraq needs visiting surgeons and nurses.

We’re supporting Preemptive Love’s Remedy Missions. During one mission, 20+ children receive life saving surgery, 5 surgeons are trained and hearts are healed, in more ways than one.

This is one war we can all support.

When you support Operation Healing Hearts through a donation, spreading the word, becoming a Blogger with Heart or holding a fundraiser, you’re directly benefiting Preemptive Love. All funds go directly to that tax exempt organization.
