Inner Peace is a Choice.

Inner Peace is a Choice.

It is our own thoughts that will either bring us peace or restlessness. If our mind is clear of useless, undivine thoughts, we can experience inner peace in abundance. When we lose our inner peace it is because of our own thoughts. It is tempting to blame our problems on the world and other people. However, a man of inner peace will not allow the outer world to disturb his inner mind. If we maintain equanimity and detachment to events of the world, inner peace will remain a permanent feature of our mind.

Inner Peace is to be experienced Here and Now.

It is a mistake to feel inner peace will be achieved in the future, when circumstances are more favourable. Inner peace can only be felt in the present moment. If we live only in the here and now, we will not worry about the future, or speculate on the past. If we live only for the present moment we can learn to understand the immediacy of inner peace.

Inner peace and Oneness are inseparable.

If we live in the critical mind and are constantly judging others, we will never experience real inner peace. When we judge others we try to assert our superiority over others, but this can never bring inner peace. When we are flooded with inner peace, we feel others are an extended part of our reality; the imperfection of others actually seem our own imperfections, just in another body.

Inner Peace is in the heart not the Mind.

To find inner peace in the mind, is difficult. The nature of the mind is to think, analyse and create problems. The nature of the heart is oneness, love and joy. If we can bring to the fore the qualities of the heart, we will find peace. It is also in the heart, that our Soul resides. The Soul is the divine part of our being, and is inundated with peace.

Peace does not Require an Escape from the world.

Inner peace does not require us to live in an himalayan cave. Inner peace can be experienced in the hustle and bustle of the world. What is important is the state of our mind, not the outer circumstances.

A Rose That God Created

A ROSE THAT GOD CREATED
God created the rose in the likeness of a woman. The rose represents her beauty. The stem represents her strength. The petals are soft as her delicate skin, the fragrance so pure and so sweet. The leaves represent her arms outstretched, always loving and giving and for perfection-- -He made her heart of pure gold. Thank you God for making a woman......
A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully. Before it blossomed, he examined it. He saw a bud that would soon blossom. He also saw the thorns, and he thought, "How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns?" Saddened by this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and before it was ready to bloom, it died. So it is with many people. Within every soul, there is a rose. The "God-like " qualities planted in us at birth, growing amidst the thorns of our faults. Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the defects. We despair, thinking nothing good can possibly come from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it dies. We never realize our potential.
Some don't see the rose within themselves. It takes someone else to show it to them.
One of the greatest gifts a person can possess is to be able to reach past the thorns and find the rose within others. This is the truest, most innocent and gracious characteristic of love - To know another person, including their faults, recognize the nobility in their soul, and yet still help another to realize they can overcome their faults.
If we show them the rose, they will conquer the thorns. Only then will they blossom, and most likely, blooming thirty, sixty, a hundred-fold, as it is given to them.
Our duty in this world is to help others, by showing them their roses and not their thorns. It is then that we achieve the love we should feel for each other. Only then can we bloom in our own garden.

How to Love Unconditionally

Source: http://www.ehow.com/

To love unconditionally means not expecting ANYTHING in return. It means to continually put yourself, your heart, out there without ever wanting anything back from someone.
1) Unconditional love takes practice.

2) Learn to forgive yourself and others. Forgiveness is a great way to untie the grudges from the past and move on to better things

3) Always be sure to give yourself the respect and latitude to be yourself rather than to be what others want or expect you to be.

4) Accept people for who they are and of course yourself you can't change a person if they do not desire to.

5) Be sure to take a risk to be open and vulnerable to who you are with no preset limits or expectations.

6) When you give something, just do it because you WANT to, not out of obligation or for anything other than you WANT TO GIVE IT.

7) Show appreciation and be thankful for all things.

8) Give them compliments when they do a good job.

Things You'll Need:

  • Big heart

  • open mind

  • forgiving attitude

  • gratitude

  • people to love
